Max Planck is considered to be the father of quantum theory. Planck postulated that,
"Both religion and science require a belief in God. For believers, God is in the beginning, and for physicists He is at the end of all considerations…"
Whether you are a believer, agnostic, atheist, or choose to not weigh in on the discussion, God certainly exists. Even to deny or question the existence of God requires reference to said God, whether "real" or imagined. Think Superman or the Easter Bunny. Even so, the definition of God has become ambiguous at best.
Because of this, God has been split up into convenient containers (much like religion). So instead of simply God, we have the Universe, Source, Conscious/Subconscious. In art we have the land of Oz, the Force, and the Matrix (based off Planck's quantum theory). It's all relative to the transparent world that we cannot touch or see (dark matter/energy), but we can feel and sense. To deny this is to deny our mind, which is the ethereal flipside of our brain.
I believe that faith in a divine power as a supportive force for good in our lives is the key to living a more purposeful and fulfilling life. What name we assign to this omnipresence should not be as important as our faith in it.
