Good vibes, bright side

"Keep your face always to the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you."

- Walt Whitman

What are some good things that you have going on in your life right now? What made you smile today? What are you grateful for right in this moment? There is always something for us to smile about and be grateful for. It could be as simple as having gainful employment or having a bed to sleep in with a roof over our head every night. When we focus on all of the good going on in our lives, any issues we may be dealing with can feel lighter and even more manageable with the right perspective.

We all know life can be tough at times. Sometimes it can seem relentless. Even when nothing seems to be going right, something usually is. The problem can grow when we put our current issues under a microscope and immerse ourselves in any negativity that surrounds us. Thankfully, we have the ability to pull ourselves out of any negative space we are occupying and thrust ourselves into a brighter outlook and perspective. Since our thoughts help create our reality, then it makes sense to focus on the good stuff and brighter side of life.

On an energy level, there are so many different ways for us to raise our vibration so we can continue living on the brighter side of life. There are all of the obvious practices like meditation, yoga, mindfulness and gratitude. Some other great mood boosters are walking in nature, dancing, acts of kindness and breathing techniques. There is always something we can do to counter our mood when we're feeling down or overwhelmed. It's on us to practice self-care so we can keep living with a more positive mindset and healthy sense of wellbeing.

It's easy to go all doom and gloom when life doesn't seem to be treating us fairly. Conversely, we are not being fair to ourselves if we choose to wallow in our sorrow instead of doing something about it. Some days are tougher. Some circumstances may require us to reach out for professional help. For most of us, we can simply start (or continue) focusing on all the good stuff and expecting the best while accepting whatever unfolds. It's easier to make it through even the toughest days with a positive mental attitude, knowing brighter days are upon us.

More Wellness!
